THOUGHTFUL THURSDAY
HAPPY THANKSGIVING
We’re remembering all we have to be grateful for this season!
THOUGHTFUL THURSDAY
Tips for older adults to stay active at home:
1. Gardening ( is not only a favorite hobby or pastime for many, but a great way to sneak in a little bit of exercise).
2. Exercise ( set aside time to engage in physical activity, for example completing small house chores or taking a walk).
3. Arts and Crafts ( are known to help older adults with their cognitive skills).
Stay active, but be safe. Remember, before engaging in any type of exercise check with your doctor to make sure activities planned are safe.
THOUGHTFUL THURSDAY
How to stay connected with elder family and friends during visitation restrictions. Social connections are very important especially in this time of pandemic. Here are some ways that are helpful in staying connected:
- More frequent telephone calls (captioned telephones are available for those who are hearing impaired)
- Video conferencing
- Handwritten letters
- Have flowers delivered
Just because you can’t visit your loved ones doesn’t mean you can’t stay connected.
HAPPY VETERAN’S DAY!
We want to thank our veterans for all of the love and dedication you have given in serving us and our country.
HAPPY NOVEMBER
We would like to wish all seniors who will turn one year older in the month of November a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
